Orphans of the Civilized World

The Ancestors of the freed slaves of the United States are still searching for identity and closure to an unforgivably horrific chapter of modern history.
We’re all looking for answers. How about asking ourselves a couple of questions?
Is it time to “Get Over” slavery? The answer is a resounding yes. “Getting Over” slavery is as simple as getting over the loss of an appendage. The limbs missing from the body of the African American community are identity, dignity, social freedoms, equal opportunities, sense of belonging, inclusion and cultural and family loyalty. These and many other social and economical handicaps have been inherited by the children of a stolen tribe.
